Connectivity and Networking Program

Strengthening Ties, Sharing Resources, Empowering Communities

The Connectivity and Networking Program fosters collaboration, communication, and support among Indigenous individuals, communities, and justice-related organizations, such as Community Justice Groups (CJGs) and correctional facilities. By ensuring the effective sharing of resources, knowledge, and opportunities, the program strengthens community resilience and justice outcomes while addressing shared challenges and promoting positive change.

  • CJG Collaboration: Strengthening links between Torres Strait and mainland CJGs to exchange best practices and address shared challenges.

  • Workshops and Meetings: Organizing events and collaborative projects to improve service delivery for offenders, victims, and families.

  • Reform and Reintegration Support: Connecting inmates with in-prison reform programs and ensuring seamless transitions to community-based services upon release.
